About Rob

Education and Career Background

Rob was born in Brisbane and raised in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). He attended the University of Canberra where – after initially studying units in economics and industrial design – he completed a graphic design degree majoring in multimedia and graduating with distinction. During the four-year course, Rob focused on screen-based design which included website design and production.

Commencing his professional career in the private sector, Rob worked in the fields of web and interactive multimedia design. During this period, Rob honed his creative skills while also gaining a sound working knowledge of web accessibility, information architecture, web content management and broader web project management. 

In recent years, Rob has moved into the federal government sector where he has had the opportunity to explore more senior and strategic roles, combining his technical attributes with leadership and management components.

Rob has participated in many industry trade conferences, seminars, presentations, and workshops. In addition, Rob has delivered lectures and tutorials to students at the University of Canberra, in the areas of web interface design, web accessibility and multimedia graphics.

Current Situation

Rob is currently engaged with a high profile Australian government agency, where he has previously managed an online production team and overseen key elements of the agency’s external and internal websites.

When Rob isn’t working or studying, he divides his time between:

• being with his family, comprising wife Rosa and sons Marcus and Joel
• being a musician and performing with The Tullys as their drummer
• the gym, golf course, tennis court and/or basketball court
• catching up with friends and meeting new people
